Makkah – The Ka'bah مكة المكرمة – الكعبة
When Muhammad ﷺ was thirty-five years old, the Quraysh undertook the rebuilding of the Ka'bah after it was damaged by floods. A dispute arose over who would have the honor of placing the Black Stone (al-Hajar al-Aswad) back in its corner. The tribes were on the verge of conflict when they agreed to let the next person to enter the Ka'bah precinct decide. Muhammad ﷺ entered, and they exclaimed 'Al-Amin!' (The Trustworthy One). He placed the Black Stone on a cloth and had representatives of each tribe hold a corner and lift it together, then he placed the stone with his own hands.
أهمّية الحدث
This event demonstrates two things: Muhammad ﷺ was already known as 'Al-Amin' (The Trustworthy) and 'As-Sadiq' (The Truthful) before prophethood, and his wisdom in resolving disputes was already recognized. His solution satisfied all parties — a hallmark of prophetic wisdom.

الراوي: Aisha
“The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Were your people not close to the pre-Islamic period of ignorance, I would have demolished the Ka'bah and rebuilt it on the foundation of Ibrahim, for the Quraysh curtailed its construction.'”
