رضاعة حليمة السعدية
٥٢-٤٨ ق.هـ (571-575 م)
Desert of Banu Sa'd بادية بني سعد
طفولة
Following Arab custom, the infant Muhammad ﷺ was entrusted to Halimah bint Abi Dhu'ayb of the Banu Sa'd tribe to be nursed and raised in the desert. The presence of the child brought remarkable blessings (barakah) to Halimah's household — her previously barren land became fertile, her animals gave abundant milk, and her family's fortunes changed.
أهمّية الحدث
The desert upbringing served a profound purpose: it gave the Prophet ﷺ physical strength, pure Arabic eloquence, and exposure to the open, uncorrupted nature of Bedouin life. This practice was common among the noble families of Quraysh, and it would shape the character of the future Messenger.
