الدعوة السرية
١٢-٩ ق.هـ (610-613 م)
Makkah مكة المكرمة
For approximately three years, the Prophet ﷺ called people to Islam privately. The first to accept were his wife Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (the first woman), his young cousin Ali ibn Abi Talib (among the first youth), his freed slave Zayd ibn Harithah, and his close friend Abu Bakr as-Siddiq. Abu Bakr then brought many prominent companions to Islam including Uthman ibn Affan, Az-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam, Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, and Talhah ibn Ubaydillah.
أهمّية الحدث
This three-year secret phase allowed the early community to establish its spiritual foundations through learning the Quran and strengthening faith before facing the inevitable persecution. The quality of these earliest converts — many of whom are among the Ten Promised Paradise — shows how Islam first attracted the most sincere and upright hearts.
